Hebrews 12:5-12 emphasizes the message Pastor Bud gave last Sunday. That we are to become like children, God's Children.
ReplyDeleteOf special note in today's reading is the Foursquare motto... Hebrews 13:8 "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever". Our Lord is a constant in this ever changing world. We can count on Him to never change, to always be with us, to be our comforter, provider, healer, our everything. People come and go, but He will always be.
The benediction that the author gives at the close of the letter is one that I would pray the Lord bless every believer with...
Heb 13:20-21 "Now may the God of peace— who brought up from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great Shepherd of the sheep, and ratified an eternal covenant with his blood—may he equip you with all you need for doing his will. May he produce in you, through the power of Jesus Christ,every good thing that is pleasing to him. All glory to him forever and ever! Amen.
